The Sword and the Scoob will be the thirty-second in a series of direct-to-video films based upon Hanna-Barbera 's Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoons. It will be released on February 23, 2021. It was originally titled Scooby-Doo in King Arthur's Court, but it was retitled Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob. Written by Jeremy Adams, The Sword and the Scoob was co-directed by Maxwell Atoms (Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!), Christina Sotta (Harley Quinn), and Mel Zwyer. (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous). Atoms produced the feature alongside Sam Register, Spike Brandt, Jim Krieg and Colin A.B.V. Lewis. Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob is a DVD of the film with the same name. It will be released by Warner Home Video on February 23, 2021. Scooby-Doo! Should have taken more from the latest SONIC THE HEDGEHOG playbook, where less fan service and more heart made it a far better film. It doesn’t take a Mystery Machine to realize the filmmakers were attempting to make a love letter to Hanna Barbera. The Scooby-Doo! franchise enters Mark Twain/Gary Gygax territory with The Sword and the Scoob, a brand-new (and medieval) Mystery, Inc. adventure that brings a rare time travel element into the series. The film is very much an homage to A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
